GOLF MONTH Prizes Awarded....
The grand title of "Facility of the year" was won by the regional Bairnsdale Golf Club in Eastern Victoria for gaining the most new members thoughout GOLF MONTH
Top Club in Australia wide Program
Readers might recall that our Club was awarded 2015 Golf Facility of the Year by Golf Australia, and we received a $5,000 Award, for our Introductory Membership scheme.
Well, Golf Australia statistics now reveal just how successful we were as a Club.
We beat 365 other Clubs who participated Australia wide.
And, we signed up over a 100 of the total 697 new members in that program.
74 of those Introductory Members in our Club continued into the final phase by paying their pro-rata membership for that financial year.
While we are still awaiting final outcomes of full memberships being taken up by participants in that scheme, you will have noted a new membership drive is underway.
We will be submitting information about that, and other associated initiatives, into the Golf Australia program again this year.
