Sunday was the day and it rained! However, 10 new people came, along with 8 to 10 members as helpers.
15 registered for the day including a couple who only moved to Eagle Point that day, however the poor weather deterred a few.
President, Stephen Mann welcomed the attendees and handed over to Wayne Thomas.
We stayed inside and Wayne spoke for about an hour about the game, equipment, grip, stance, swing, course, lessons, etc.
which was very beneficial for everyone including some experienced members!
A big thanks to Wayne as he made the day for attendees.
Then we went outside for a talk about the course, tee, green, rough, etc. and finished with a BBQ brunch.
The atmosphere was welcoming and positive, we dropped the $5 charge and asked everyone back next Sunday,
hopefully for a try at hitting in sunshine. The 2 men from Omeo will return!
Thank you to the lady members who came along to help and talked in particular about their experiences as beginners in the Tuesday program:
Helen Leach, Bonnie Walker, Ros Pearce, Janine Newall and Jenny Gibbs.
Thanks also to Max Hellessey, Warren Prior and David Turner who organised the BBQ. Thanks to David for the photo shoot.

Since starting golf in late March, these ladies amaze everyone. Instead of 10 shots per hole, a par here-and-there
now is not uncommon. They are picking-up the golf language, talking to the ball, understanding the etiquette
and trying (like all of us) to understand the rules!

Nine of these ladies are attending a 5 week clinic with Wayne Thomas, at present. Our main aim is "enjoy yourself".
New friendships have already been formed. 27 ladies are playing-averaging 18 per week.

We have an enthusiastic and encouraging group of Wednesday ladies who continue to come most Tuesdays -
They are.... Margo, Judy, Trish, Gwen, Carol, Rose, Robyn, Ginny, Jenny and Helen.
Their positive attitude certainly helps the new players. - Lois and Marj.
